August 2000 – Present

The Aboriginal Canada Portal (ACP) is a bilingual Web site that represents the "Aboriginal Peoples" cluster under the Canadians Gateway, on the Canada Site (canada.gc.ca). It is part of the GOL initiative. The ACP Web site contains over 600 Web content pages and more than 16,000 external links.

The ACP is a single window to Canadian Aboriginal on-line resources, contacts, information, and government programs and services. The portal offers ease of access and navigation to listings of Aboriginal associations, businesses, organizations, bands, communities, groups, news and peoples. The Aboriginal Canada Portal is a powerful tool to connect together Aboriginal peoples from all across Canada.

Besides our ongoing involvement in the management of the ACP's Web content, Alika has also participated in several separate initiatives associated with the Aboriginal Canada Portal Web site, including: the Job Centre Tool and the Virtual Aboriginal Trade Show (VATS).
